Overtone は画面共有方式のため、Teams・Zoom・Google Meet・Discord など会議ツールを選びません。専用アプリや Bot の導入も不要です。本ページでは Teams を例に、ログインから会議中の使い方までを説明します。他の会議ツールでも手順は同じです。Because Overtone works by capturing screen-share audio, it is not tied to any one meeting tool — Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Discord and others all work. No dedicated app or bot is required. This page walks through the steps using Teams as the example, from signing in to using it during a meeting. The steps are the same on any other meeting tool.

No changes to Teams settings, no admin rights and no extra software are needed, and it works with both the Teams desktop and web versions. The same steps apply to Zoom, Google Meet and Discord, since the method is based on screen sharing rather than the meeting tool. To hear the translation as speech, use Companion View on a smartphone or tablet alongside it (see below).
なぜ Teams の設定変更なしで翻訳できるの？Why does it work without changing any Teams settings?
Overtone は Teams と連携するプラグインではなく、ブラウザの画面共有音声を直接聞き取る方式だからです。会議ツールの内部に入り込まないため、会社の Teams 管理ポリシーに触れず、相手側に何かをインストールしてもらう必要もありません。Because Overtone is not a plugin that integrates with Teams — it listens directly to the audio from your browser’s screen share. Since it never reaches inside the meeting tool, it does not touch your company’s Teams administration policies, and the other party does not need to install anything.
手順（5 ステップ）The five steps

When you share the meeting tab with “Also share tab audio” on, simultaneous mode turns on and the translated voice plays from the PC. |

Summaries and minutes | 全プランでリアルタイム要約（1分毎更新）が使えます: 決定事項・ToDo・議題の流れが自動で一枚のパネルに集約され、あなたに判断が求められた瞬間は画面上部に通知されます。会議を終えて「送る」を選ぶと、ログイン中のアドレスに「Overtone 議事録」のメールが届き、論点・決定事項・残った課題・宿題がまとまっています。時刻つきの全文は添付の PDF です。議事録はメールで受け取ったものだけが手元に残り、サーバーには保存しません。On every plan, Live Digest (updated every minute) is available: decisions, action items and the flow of topics are gathered automatically onto a single panel, and the moment a decision is asked of you, a notice appears at the top of the screen. When the meeting ends and you choose "Send", an email titled "Overtone Minutes" arrives at your signed-in address with the topics, decisions, open issues and action items; the full transcript with timestamps is attached as a PDF. Only the emailed copy remains with you; nothing is stored on the server. |
同時通訳モード: Teams をブラウザ（Web 版）で開いている場合は、手順 3 で Teams のタブを「タブの音声も共有」をオンにして共有すると、自動で同時通訳モードになり、相手の発言が翻訳された声で PC から流れます（翻訳音声の間は元の声が小さくなります。二重に聞こえるときは共有中のタブをミュート）。デスクトップアプリのウィンドウを共有した場合は、下の Companion View で翻訳音声を聞きます。Simultaneous interpretation mode: If Teams is open in a browser (Teams on the web), share the Teams tab in step 3 with “Also share tab audio” turned on — the mode turns on automatically and each remark is spoken back to you, translated, from your PC (the original voice is lowered while it plays; if you hear it twice, mute the shared tab). When you share the desktop app’s window, hear translations on Companion View as described below.

どちらも Companion View を使います。スマートフォン / タブレットで Companion View（QR コードを読むだけ・アプリ不要）を開くと、相手の発言の翻訳音声を聞けます。ウィンドウや画面全体を共有したときは、翻訳音声は PC では再生せず Companion View (スマホ) で聞きます。会議のタブを「タブの音声も共有」をオンにして共有したときは同時通訳モードになり、翻訳音声は PC から流れます。Both use Companion View. Open Companion View on a smartphone or tablet — just scan a QR code, no app required — and you can hear the translation of the other party’s speech. When you share a window or the whole screen, translations are not played on the PC; you hear them on Companion View. When you share the meeting tab with “Also share tab audio” on, simultaneous mode turns on and the translated voice plays from the PC.

The translation of your speech plays through the phone’s speaker, and your PC microphone picks that up and carries it to the other participants. Keep the phone volume at the minimum the other party can hear — too loud and the translated audio gets picked up again.
